As our society heads toward a period of great reform, there are equally great and varied expectations and demands being placed on the university to contribute toward solving socio - political issues and training capable individuals. Therefore, we have been working on strengthening the university’s capacity and building its infrastructure. Move over, the university is concentrating on creating and developing programs that address the local community and national needs, and with the overall focus of being globally competitive and innovative. For more global comptitiveness, we are enhancing software technology curiculum with U.S. grant. We have implemented business systems program with CRM software and other business applications.
To realize this, the university has taken several initiatives such as developing a research unit and facilitating research collaborations with other universities both locally and internationally. In addition to research collaborations, the university is privileged to have partners who support it in running its programs and staff capacity building.
Our student body is growing year after year with the current population standing at 650.Their presence at the university and our moments of interaction make me feel proud of being part of this learning community. The university has risen from its humble beginning of having 3 class rooms, 2 undergraduate programs and slightly above 40 students to its present capacity with 8 under graduate programs and new campus under development with over 20 lecture halls and other facilities.
As I look at the road ahead for our university over the next 5 years, while embracing big dreams, I endeavor to gain, the understanding and cooperation of all members of the university so that we can take this university to greater heights .
